Description

Castle Cottage is a cottage in a terrace with origins dating back to the 17th century. It features rubble stone walls and originally had a thatched roof, with brick stacks at each end. The building is one storey high with an attic. The ground floor includes a ledged door and two casement windows, each with a central horizontal glazing bar. In the attic, there are remnants of two dormers. At the left end of the cottage, there is a projecting external bread oven. The cottage was damaged by fire at the time of the survey in 1985, but permission has been granted for it to be reconstructed in its original form.
