Description

No. 69 is a cottage located at the left end of a terrace on East Street in Corfe Castle. It has origins dating back to the 17th century. The cottage features rubble stone walls and originally had a thatched roof. It is one storey high with attics and has an L-shaped plan, with a projecting wing at the left end. The entrance is situated in the south wall of this wing. In the main range, both the ground and first floors each have one casement window with glazing bars. The building was damaged by fire at the time of the survey in 1985, but permission has been granted for its reconstruction in its original form.
