Description

A group of three cottages, likely dating from the late 18th century, with a later 20th-century extension to number 3. The cottages are built of rubble stone with stone slate roofs and stone stacks. They are two storeys high. Number 1 has a ledged door, with two casement windows on the ground floor featuring glazing bars, and two horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor. Number 2 is similar, with a matching door and one window of each type on both floors. Number 3 has a part-glazed door sheltered by a stone hood supported on stone brackets. It also has two casement windows with glazing bars on the ground floor and two horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor. A gabled extension, built in the 20th century and matching the original construction, projects to the south of number 3, featuring casement windows with glazing bars. Lean-to extensions are located at the rear, and smaller gabled extensions are present on each cottage. A single-storey extension of matching construction is situated to the north of number 1. The fireplace in number 1 contains a reused moulded stone lintel.
