Description
The main entrance gatepiers at Dunshay Manor, located 30 meters east of the house, date from the mid-17th century. They consist of a pair of ashlar stone gatepiers featuring panelled sides and moulded caps topped with tall pyramidal finials. These gatepiers are connected by curved rubble stone walls to an outer pair of ashlar piers, which also have panelled sides and moulded caps. To the north of the entrance, there is a stone mounting block that includes a top step, which is likely the base of a cheese press. Note that the 20th-century wooden gates are not included in the listing.
