Description

This is a row of three cottages, originally four, dating from the late 18th century. They are built of coursed limestone rubble. Numbers 17 and 21 have roofs of 20th-century cement tiles, while number 19 has a stone slate roof. The cottages have brick end and ridge stacks. Number 17 is a combination of two cottages. Each cottage originally comprised a single unit. The two-storey cottages have a five-window range. Number 17 has a 20th-century half-glazed door and a blocked doorway. Number 19 has a 20th-century door, and number 21 has a 19th-century plank door. The ground floor windows are 19th- and 20th-century two-light casements with varying glazing bars, set within painted wooden lintels. Number 19 has two 20th-century one-light windows on the first floor and contains an open fireplace and ceiling beams.
