Description

Malthouse Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse with a later rear range. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone with a 20th-century cement tile roof. The stone left end and rendered ridge stacks have brick shafts. The house follows a through-passage L-plan configuration with a range extending to the left rear. It is two storeys and an attic, with a four-window front. The second bay has a 20th-century door and overlight. Late 20th-century sash windows are fitted, retaining old painted wood lintels. The right return side has cross windows serving the rear range, and a parallel slate roof. The interior features ceiling beams and some two-panelled doors with H-L hinges. A quarter-turn staircase is also present.
