Description

The Cottage, located west of Hargate House, is a cottage built in 1819 with 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof with two lateral stacks. The building is two storeys high and has two bays. The doorway is positioned to the right and has a partially glazed door from the 20th century with a flush lintel. To the left, there is a single plain sash window, and above it, a smaller plain sash window. Both windows have segmental heads and flush wedge lintels. A datestone on the right side of the building is inscribed with the year '1819'. Hargate House itself is not included in this listing.
