Description
Laurel House is a house dating from the late 18th century to the mid-19th century, constructed of red brick with a slate roof that is hipped over the right bay and has a left gable stack. The building stands two storeys high and features a three-bay front, with a narrow central bay that projects slightly. The central doorway is adorned with a modillioned pediment, dosserets, fluted Ionic columns, and a flattened semi-circular head that includes a traceried fanlight and an ornate panelled door. To the left of the doorway is a blind, segmental-headed doorway. Beyond this is a canted bay window with tripartite glazing bar sashes and an entablature. To the right of the doorway, there is a single plain sash window. Above the doorway, there is a small glazing bar sash with a flush wedge lintel. To the left of the doorway, there is another single glazing bar sash, and to the right, a single plain sash, both of which have segmental heads.
