Description
CORFE CASTLE THE SQUARE (West side) SY 96 82 7/131 Drury's (formerly listed as Dr Drury's House, West Street) 20.11.59 including pump at rear. GV II Large house in terrace. Probably early C19. Rubble stone walls, slate roof, brick end stacks. 2 storeys. At left end a carriage entrance to rear courtyard. In the main house, central raised panel door. Ground floor has 2 sashes with glazing bars under flat arches. First floor has 4 similar windows. Added wing at rear - lower walls stone, upper walls brick, slate roof. Pump attached to this, wood cased, with lead spout. Around rear courtyard a range of former stables etc. - part converted to residential use - these not of special interest.
