Description
Draycott Hall and its attached outbuildings are a house and outbuildings dating from the early 19th century, with some late 19th-century additions and alterations. The building is constructed of brick, with the front elevation stuccoed, and features a shallow pitched hipped slate roof and rendered side wall stacks, along with a plain eaves band beneath wide overhanging eaves. The structure is two storeys high with garrets and consists of three bays. At the rear, there is a two-storey, three-bay outbuilding.
The house has a central semi-circular headed doorcase with reeded half columns and a reeded cornice. The original panelled door has been altered to have all panels glazed, and above it is an original traceried fanlight. On either side of the door are plain sash windows, with three similar windows located above.
At the rear of the building are the old coach house and stables, built of brick and topped with a hipped plain tile roof, along with an octagonal timber dovecote at the ridge. The coach house features a wide segmental arch with double plank doors on the west side and 20th-century double doors beyond. The stables to the east have two segment-headed plank doors and a segment-headed sliding sash window, with two 20th-century windows above in the original openings.
Inside the house, there is a fine stick baluster staircase with a wreathed handrail that spans two floors, along with original reeded cornices and ceiling roses.
