Description

No. 2 East Street is a detached cottage dating from the early 19th century, which has undergone restoration in the 20th century. The building features knapped flint and banded chalk-block walls, with brick quoins on the left side. It has a thatched roof with gable ends and brick stacks at both gable ends. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows: a three-light casement on the ground floor and two-light wood casements above, all featuring horizontal glazing bars. The windows have brick dressings and segmental heads. The front doorway is located to the left of centre and includes brick dressings and a multi-panelled door from the 20th century.
