Description

Hit or Miss is a mid to late 18th-century building located on the north side of East Street in Sydling St Nicholas. This two-storey house features good knapped flint and Ham stone walls, with Ham stone ashlar quoins. The slate roof has stone gable copings set at a higher pitch, and there are brick stacks at both gable ends. The front facade includes three windows, with two-light wood casements that have glazing bars, and a three-light window on the right side at ground level. The central front door is a two-leaf, panelled design from the 20th century. At the rear, there is a 19th-century wing that has a hipped slate roof.
