Description

SY 6399 SYDLING ST NICHOLAS WATERSIDE LANE, (east side )

Detached Cottage, Mid Cl7, undergoing 1985 internal alterations and repair. Close-fitting knapped flint and chalk-block walls. Thatch roof, with gable ends at left hand and right hand. Brick stacks, at left gable, and on ridge right of centre. 1½ storeys. 4 windows, mainly 2-light wood casements with glazing-bars, wood cills and lintels. 2 eyebrow dormers, left has 2-light C20 metal casements, right has C18 3-light wood casement with glazing-bars. Front door, right of centre, has stone jambs with later brick jambs to narrow the entrance. Flush-panel door with 2 top lights, C19. Interior: mid-chamfered ceiling-beams.
