Description

Hawthorne Cottage and Trumps In Cottage are a pair of attached cottages dating to the 18th century. The cottages have stone walls that have been rendered and a thatched roof with gable ends. There are three brick stacks – one in the left-hand gable, one at the left of the party wall, and one in the right-hand gable. The cottages are two storeys high and have six windows with 2 and 3-light wooden casements, dating to the 20th century. The front doors are located left and right of centre; the left cottage has a porch with a gabled slate roof, and the right cottage (Trumps In) has a 20th-century wooden front door with a thatched canopy. The interior of Trumps In cottage includes two brick jambed fireplaces with chamfered wooden lintels, and a bread oven.
