Description

Hawthorne Cottage and The Shack are two cottages dating from the 18th century. They are built of brick and feature a thatched roof. The cottages are 1½ storeys high and have end stacks on the right and left sides. Each cottage has a central door flanked by a window on either side, with all windows being casements. To the right, there is a later addition of a brick and tile lean-to, which also has a casement window. The cottages are notable for their four eyebrow dormers.
