Description

MATERIALS: sandstone.

DESCRIPTION: the memorial is located by the roadside and it comprises a Latin cross surmounting a tapered shaft set on a square two-tiered plinth. The whole is set upon a square single-stepped base.

The inscription on the plinth in incised letters reads TO THE GLORY OF GOD/ AND IN GRATEFUL MEMORY/ OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH/ WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 – 1918/ AND IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR/ 1939 – 1945 (NAMES).
