Description

Winterbourne Manor is a house comprising two main blocks, the southern dating to the late 18th century and the northern to the 17th century, with a 19th-century addition to the west.

The southern block is constructed of brick with a slate roof featuring deep, bracketed eaves and three chimney stacks. It is two storeys high, arranged with five bays in an alternating pattern of window sizes (AABAA). It has glazing bar sashes. The two bays at each end project, with the eaves extending across the feet of the gables. A central porch features two pairs of coupled Tuscan columns and pilasters behind, and a balcony above with an iron balustrade and a pair of French casements. The western elevation, with five bays, has first-floor windows fitted with jalousies.

The northern block is built of brick and timber framing with brick infill, and has a tiled roof with decorated barge boards. It features three chimney stacks, one large stack to the north built with flint and stone dressings and a brick top. This block is two storeys high and has two timber-framed bays with angle bracing. All windows are casements with leaded lights; two are in the right-hand bay of the north front, and there is a first-floor oriel window to the east. A door is located to the east.
