Description
Lower Moorbath Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1800, built over an older structure. It features a datestone marked "I:O 1686 R O" that has been reinserted into the newer masonry. The building has coursed Lias stone walls and a slate roof, which has a gable end on the left side and is hipped on the right side. There is one brick chimney stack located opposite the front door. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has five wide sash windows with glazing bars and old glass, each with stone voussoirs above and wooden cills below. The front door is a two-leaf design with recessed panels and two top lights, and it is sheltered by a 20th-century porch with a pentice roof. Additionally, there is a four-light ovolo-moulded mullion window that has been rebuilt into the 19th-century brickwork.
