Description
Lower Denhay Farm Cottages are two attached cottages dating from the early 18th century. They feature coursed rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof, which has lower eaves at the right-hand end and gable ends. The cottages have two storeys and are topped with two brick stacks, one located at the left gable and the other at the centre, which is part of the party wall. The front façade includes three windows, each with three-light metal casements, concrete cills, and lintels. There is a front door that is sheltered by a 20th-century porch with a pentice tile roof. The right cottage has one and a half storeys and features 20th-century metal casements with glazing bars, a plank front door, and a wooden porch from the 20th century with a gabled roof. At the rear, there is a continuous outshut under a catslide roof, which dates back to the early 18th century.
