Description
New House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1813, as indicated by the datestone on the southwest gable. The building features coursed shelly stone walls and a thatch roof with gable ends, a steep pitch, and a high ridge. The stone gable copings and two brick stacks at the gable ends add to its character. The farmhouse has two tall storeys with cellars beneath and three windows. The windows are three-light cast iron casements with leaded lights and ornamental arch-leading at the top, framed by gauged stone voussoirs. The front door is centrally located and has flush and fielded panels with two lights at the top. A simple open porch with chamfered posts and segmental heads leads to the door, topped with a flat lead roof.
