Description

Crepe Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1830. It features Lias ashlar walls set on a plinth and has a low-pitched slate roof that is hipped at both ends, with projecting eaves. There are brick stacks at both the left and right eaves. The building has two storeys and three windows, which are sashes with thin glazing bars and arch-heads that include flush keystones. The stone cills are notable, and the centre-upper window is an oculus with glazing bars, complemented by flush voussoirs and four projecting keystones at the top, bottom, and sides. The front door is made of wood and has many glass panels, dating from the 20th century. A wooden porch with running vine-scroll supports features an elliptical arch at the front and trelliswork on the sides, dating from the 19th century, topped with a concave pyramidal canopy. At the rear, there is a long wing constructed of the same materials, which includes surviving 19th-century cast iron casements with two and three lights, and a plank door at the northwest end.
