Description
The Church of England Primary School and attached house, founded as a Charity School, was established in 1868, as noted on a tablet on the north elevation. The building features walls made of lias stone and a plain tile roof with stone gable copings. The north side has five gables arranged in a small-large-small-large-small pattern. It is a single storey structure with seven windows, including two light mullion-and-transom windows that have cusped heads and an oculus above in a pointed frame. The two larger gables have blocky projections with set-offs. There is a four-light transomed window in the west gable, accompanied by three oculi above it. The rear block, which was formerly the Schoolmaster's house, has asymmetrical gables and projecting stone stacks that include set-offs and cornices.
