Description
Symondsbury House is a detached villa built around 1830, featuring stone walls that are stuccoed and a hipped slate roof with a valley and projecting eaves. It has two rendered stacks, one at the left ridge and another at the right-hand eaves. The main elevation faces southeast and consists of two storeys with three windows. The front door is centrally located and has six recessed panels, topped with a fanlight that includes glazing bars and a moulded round-headed architrave. The west elevation features two and three-light wooden casements with glazing bars, as well as a large round-headed window with glazing bars.
The property is bordered by stone walls along the lane for approximately 70 metres. These walls are made of coursed, squared rubble-stone and include two sets of ashlar square gate piers topped with low pyramidal caps, which serve as pedestrian entrances.
