BEAMINSTER TUNNEL ROAD ST 40 SE (WEST SIDE) 4/169 The Lodge GV II

Villa. Early C19. Stone walls, stuccoed. Stone plinth with rusticated quoins. Moulded stone cornice and plain parapet. Slate roof with stone gable-copings. 4 stacks at side-wall eaves to front and back rooms. Double depth house. 2 storeys. 5 windows, sashes with glazing-bars, stone cills and wooden-reeded surrounds. Symmetrical facade. Front door at centre, wooden with flush, and recess panels, panelled reveals and round head. Reeded door surround with fluted pilaster capitals and pilaster head to door, keyed at centre. Semi-circular fanlight with curvilinear glazing-bars. Stone portico with Roman Doric stone columns and pilasters, and a plain entablature.
