Description

Dartvale Manor is an earlier 19th-century villa located in Bridgetown. It is a double-fronted building of three storeys with a symmetrical arrangement of three windows. The roof is hipped and covered in tiles, with rendered stacks. The front facade is stuccoed, featuring rusticated detailing to the ground floor and pilaster strips on the quoins. A former cornice has been removed, and there is a plain band to the first floor. The windows are recessed sash windows with glazing bars; the first-floor windows have architraves with decorative "ears." Bay windows on the ground floor have four lights each, with columnette mullions and dentil cornices. A prostyle portico features columns that support an entablature with an enriched frieze. The recessed doorway has panelled reveals, a patterned radial fanlight, and a panelled door.
