Description

Elm View is an early 19th century villa, situated on the south side of Bridgetown. The villa is two windows wide and three storeys high. It has a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate, with a red brick stack. The front of the building is rendered in stucco. A blocked-out eaves cornice incorporates a fluted frieze decorated with rosettes. Recessed sash windows with glazing bars are visible. The round-arched doorway has reeded pilaster strips and brackets supporting an open segmental pediment. The reveals are panelled, and the doorway is surmounted by a radial fanlight above a raised and fielded panelled door.
