Description

No. 57 Hogshill Street is an attached house, now serving as Nevitt's Restaurant, dating from the early 19th century. The building features lias stone walls and a Roman tile roof with stone gable copings on both ends. There are short brick stacks on the left and right sides. It stands two storeys tall and has three windows, which are wooden casements with two- and three-light configurations, topped with imitation Tudor-arch heads and gauged stone voussoirs. The front door is centrally located, made of wood with two rounded panels, and is framed by a pilaster doorcase that includes recessed panels, a voluted frieze, and a moulded cornice.
