Description
50 and 54 Hogshill Street is a town house attached at the right side, dating from the later 19th century. The building features dressed stone walls and a heavy stone modillion cornice. It has a slate roof with tile cresting and two brick stacks located at the center and right gable, both topped with a chevron cornice. The house is two storeys high and has four windows, which are segmental-headed sashes with flat pilastered surrounds and large stone cills. The ground floor includes doubled sashes. The front door is framed by a pilaster surround with capitals and has a round head with an open pediment above. The door itself is made of wood with studded planks and is topped by a large semi-circular fanlight featuring lozenge-leaded lights. In front of the house, there is a low sleeper-wall.
