Description

Circa 1860. Single storey and attic, 3-bay symmetrical villa. Cream stugged and snecked sandstone, squared and coursed to S elevation; ashlar dressings. Eaves course and corniced parapet; ashlar mullioned windows with moulded reveals; quoin strips.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: narrow recessed bay to centre with semi-circular arched, pilastered doorpiece with keystone above flight of 5 steps, fanlit 2-leaf doors. Canted windows flanking with cornice and timber parapet. Slate-hunt, flat-roofed dormer to centre, canted windows flanking with piended roofs.

E (SIDE) ELEVATION: single storey lean-to conservatory abutting, harled base, glazed above with door and double steps. Window off- centre right at 1st floor of house gable.

W (SIDE) ELEVATION: window off-centre left at 1st floor. Single storey garage and service wing adjoining at NW angle.

Mostly 4-pane sash and case windows. Purple/grey slate roof; ashlar coped skews; corniced ashlar stacks to gables.

INTERIOR: not seen.

BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: semi-circular coped rubble boundary wall; ashlar rusticated piers, corniced piers with ball finials.
