Description

Barnsfold Manor Farm is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It features a datestone on the front marked "1659 GE" and a partly illegible datestone on the rear that possibly reads "IMB 1739". The building is constructed of dressed stone and has a graduated stone slate roof. It has an L-shaped plan, with the wing added in 1739 at the rear and a two-storey porch on the right side. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has two bays with a projecting plinth.

The ground floor includes four and five-light double-chamfered stone mullion windows with hoodmoulds, while the first floor has two similar four-light windows. There is a blocked two-light attic window in the second bay, which projects as an arm of the L and features a coped gable with kneelers and ball finials. The right elevation has two three-light mullioned windows and the gabled porch, which appears to be of a later date. The 1739 wing contains three-light casement windows on each floor. Inside, there is one original battened door, stop-chamfered beams with stepped stops, and timber-framed internal partitions. The building also has two brick chimney stacks.
