Description

Lincoln Lodge is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house, with a datestone above the door indicating it was built in 1762. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a roof made of stone slate and old tiles, with both brick and stone stacks. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall, with a two-window range.

The entrance has a chamfered timber lintel above a late 19th-century six-panel door, which includes two glazed panels, and is sheltered by a late 19th-century trellised porch. The windows are late 19th-century three-light casements, also with chamfered timber lintels. The roof is hipped on the left side and gabled on the right, with a gable end stack at the rear, a ridge stack on the right, and a lateral stack on the left. There is an outshut at the rear that features a 18th-century two-light leaded casement window. Additionally, there is a similar two-storey wing that has an 18th-century plank door located at the rear left.

Inside, the farmhouse contains two-panelled doors, chamfered beams, and a chamfered bressumer over the fireplace in the right room. The rear left room has a full set of chamfered beams and joists, along with newel stairs. The roof structure includes collar trusses with butt purlins.

There are also subsidiary features, including a taller two-storey, one-bay block built with similar materials, which has brick dressings and a brick gable end stack. It features brackets supporting a mid-18th-century segmental hood over a 20th-century door to the left, as well as segmental arches made of alternating flared and red brick above late 19th-century casements and an 18th-century two-light leaded casement window (one of which has diamond cames at the rear). A late 20th-century dormer is present over the rear outshut.
