Description

The Old Farm House is an early to mid-18th century house situated on Longworth Tuck's Lane. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a stone slate roof and brick stacks. The house follows an L-shaped plan. It is two storeys high, featuring a one-window range to the left. The gable end of the front right wing has no windows. A timber lintel sits above a 20th-century door, and a porch was added around 1970. The original 18th-century three-light leaded casement windows to the left are topped with timber lintels, as are the 20th-century three-light casements on the front right wing’s side. The roof is gabled with a brick stack on the gable end. A similar 18th-century casement window is visible on the right side wall. An outshut is located on the rear left side. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to contain features of interest.
