Description
Coltons is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a stone slate roof and features brick stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a three-window range. There is a central gabled porch with a door added around 1975. The windows have chamfered timber lintels and include three-light leaded casements, along with a similar late 20th-century casement to the left and an inserted light next to the porch. The gabled roof has gable end stacks, one of which has been rebuilt and is finished in red and flared brick with dogtooth capping. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest. There is a 20th-century gabled single-storey extension made of similar materials that projects from the left of the front wall.
