Description

Bridge Number 6, also known as Broadhurst's Bridge, is a road bridge on the Macclesfield Canal, completed by 1831 and designed by engineer William Crosley. The bridge is constructed of dressed stone and features a skew elliptical horseshoe keystone arch. Its convex parapet walls are adorned with a stone band and rounded copings, which end in square piers. The mouth of the bridge is grooved for stop planks.
