Description
Low Town is a farmhouse dated 1800, as indicated on the door lintel. It is constructed from squared stone with stone dressings and features a stone-tiled roof, which has rebuilt brick and dressed stone chimneys. The building has two storeys and two bays, with squared tooled quoins. The doorway, which has been replaced, includes a 2-pane overlight to the right. The doorway features raised alternating jambs and an oval plaque on the lintel that bears illegible initials and the date 1800. The windows have replaced sashes set in raised surrounds. The roof has coped gables, with a brick stack at the left end and a stone stack with a top ledge at the right end. There is a lean-to addition on the right return. The farmhouse was abandoned at the time of the survey.
