Description
Hadrian's Wall, built around AD 122 and reconstructed in AD 205, includes milecastles 43, 44, 45, and 46, as well as turrets 42B, 43A, 43B, 44A, 44B, 45A, and 45B. The wall features a rubble core with dressed stone faces and runs west from Cawfields to Holmhead. Several sections of the wall stand approximately 1.5 meters high, along with the sites and some remains of the milecastles and turrets. This site is designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
