Description

This is a row of three two-storey cottages, built around 1625. They are constructed with stone rubble fronts, and have roofs covered with stone slates laid in diminishing courses towards the ridge. Each cottage has one window bay and a doorway. The windows are wood casements with leaded glazing. The cottage doorways are plain, with wood lintels, ledged doors in frames to numbers 1 and 2, and a door with cover strips and studs to number 3. The listed buildings in Abbey Close form a group with the east end of number 1 Finger Lane.
