Description
The G F S Room is a long stone barn with a slate roof, part of a group that includes All Hallows and Askwith House. The barn features a small left door with double ledged doors, a ledged stud door with a lintel, and three blocked openings. At the right end, there is a three-light sash window without glazing bars. All Hallows and Askwith House together present a wide two-storey front with five windows, constructed from coursed rubble, likely dating from the 17th century.
All Hallows has a three-window front, with sash windows featuring intact glazing bars on both the first and ground floors. The right end of the first floor has a paired sash window, while the ground floor includes a 17th-century doorway with moulded stone jambs and a roughly four-centred arch above. The double doors are made up of three panels, with the top two panels fielded. Askwith House has a two-window front with new or restored stone mullioned windows. There are two three-light windows on the first floor, and on the ground floor to the left, a two-light window is coupled with a four-centred doorway. To the right, there is a four-light mullioned window with a drip mould over it.
At the right end, a narrow stone rubble section with a parapet connects Askwith House and Nowell House, featuring a ledged studded door. Inside, there are exposed beams and 18th-century panelling, along with a staircase. The G F S Room, All Hallows, Askwith House, Nowell House, and additional buildings form a cohesive group within the Digby Estate.
