Description

A row of three cottages, dating from the late 17th century, situated on the east side of North Street, Bradford Abbas. The cottages are constructed of coursed rubble-stone with a thatched roof, featuring gable ends. A stone stack with weathering is located on the left-hand gable, a brick stack sits at the ridge centre, and another brick stack is present on the right-hand gable. The cottages are one-and-a-half storeys in height, with a total of four windows on the first floor. These windows are wooden casements with glazing bars, consisting of two, three, and four lights respectively, and have wooden sills and lintels. The front door of the first cottage is a plank door, studded and fitted with two strap hinges, dating from the 20th century. The second cottage has a plank-and-muntin door with one glazed light, also 20th century. The third cottage has a rear entrance consisting of a 20th-century plank stable door.
