Description

The Wild Thyme Cottage, Greenfields, and Bankside Cottages form a row of three attached cottages located on The Cross in Bradford Abbas. They date from the early to mid-18th century. The cottages have rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof with gable ends, including a continuous outshut at the rear. Brick stacks are visible at the left-hand gable and on the ridge, roughly in the centre of the building. The cottages are one-and-a-half storeys in height, with a total of six windows. Most windows are of two lights, although the first-floor window of No. 2 has three lights. The windows are wooden casements with cambered brick arches above them. The front doors vary; No. 2 has a 20th-century door within a 20th-century outshut at the rear, No. 3 has a plank door with two top lights and wood framing from the 19th century, and No. 4 has a plank door with wood framing from the 20th century.
