Brick stacks are located on the left-hand gable and three further stacks rise from the ridge at the party walls. The cottages are one and a half storeys high, and have a total of nine windows with irregular placement. Virginia Cottage has two-light wooden casements with glazing bars. The Old Chapel features iron casements, leaded windows, and a large 20th-century ground floor window. Hollyhocks has two-light 20th-century wooden casements with glazing bars. Bumblebee Cottage has iron casements and lead lights. Each cottage has a 20th-century plank front door with strap hinges.
