Description
Clover Cottage is a detached cottage, likely built in the late 18th century, with an attached outhouse that has been incorporated into the cottage. The original cottage features brick walls, a thatched roof, and a brick end stack. The outhouse has cob walls on a brick base, a thatched roof, and a brick end stack as well. The building is one storey with an attic. The cottage has a 20th-century ledged door set in a gabled tiled porch. On the ground floor, there is one metal window, while the attic includes two and a half dormers with casement windows. The outhouse has one metal window and one fixed leaded window. There is a single-storey garage extension on the south side and a 20th-century single-storey rear extension. Inside, the main ground floor room features a large open fireplace with a timber lintel, which has been altered, along with some exposed ceiling beams. The outhouse was reportedly used as the laundry for Bloxworth House.
