Description
Stephen's Farm House, which includes an attached barn to the west, is a cottage dating from the early 17th century, with a barn added in the early 19th century. The cottage features brick walls, a thatched roof, and brick end stacks. It is two storeys high, with a ledged door located in a brick porch that has a gabled tiled roof. On the ground floor, there are two 20th-century casement windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has three similar windows that are slightly set into the roof. There is also a single-storey rear lean-to with a slate roof, and evidence in the gable suggests that the main roof has been slightly raised.
The barn is constructed with cob walls and has a corrugated iron roof. It includes a large hipped cart porch on the southwest side, along with a lean-to that has a catslide roof.
