Description

No. 431 Long Lane is a detached cottage, likely dating from the 18th century. It features plastered cob walls with some brick repairs and a thatched roof that is hipped at the left end, with a brick stack at the right end. The cottage is one storey with an attic. The front has a 20th-century part-glazed door, while the ground floor includes two casement windows with horizontal glazing bars. In the attic, there are two dormers, each with casement windows that also have a central horizontal glazing bar. Inside, there is a large open fireplace that has been partially built up, along with some exposed ceiling beams.
