Description

No. 43 is a detached cottage dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. The cottage features brick walls and a thatched roof, with brick stacks at each end. It is one storey high with an attic. The entrance has a part-glazed door that has been re-sited. On the ground floor, there are two casement windows with glazing bars, while the attic includes three dormers, each with similar casement windows. To the south, there is a single-storey timber extension that has a hipped thatched roof. Inside, the main ground floor room boasts deeply chamfered intersecting ceiling beams.
