Description

Nos 40 and 41 are a pair of cottages, likely built in the mid-19th century. They feature brick walls and tiled roofs, with brick stacks at both ends and in the center. The cottages are two storeys high. No 40 has a panelled door set in a timber gabled porch, and both the ground and first floors have two horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars. No 41 has a panelled door beneath a flat hood supported by shaped brackets, and similarly has two horizontally sliding sash windows with glazing bars on each floor. There is a lower addition on the east side with a half-hipped roof. These cottages are included for their group value.
