Description
No. 25 is a detached cottage, likely built in the early 18th century, with an attached outbuilding on the right. The cottage features cob walls, with the front wall faced in brick, and a thatched roof. There is one brick chimney stack at the left end and another at the junction with the outbuilding. The house is one storey with an attic, while the barn is single-storey.
The house has a ledged door with a small glass panel set in an open brick porch with a lean-to roof. On the ground floor, there are two casement windows, each with a central horizontal bar. The attic contains two dormers, which also have similar casements. The barn features a ledged door and one casement window, which was formerly fitted with lead lights.
There is a later single-storey rear lean-to, part of which has a thatched catslide roof and part has a tiled roof. Inside, some ceiling beams are exposed. The outbuilding was once used as a doctor's surgery.
