Description
East Lodge is a pair of mid-19th century houses located on Elwell Street in Upwey, Weymouth. The buildings are rendered with slate roofs and feature a lofty design with a parallel range layout. They are three storeys high and have a symmetrical arrangement of windows, with two sets of two windows on each floor. The first and second floors have sash windows with slightly cambered heads, consisting of 9 panes above 12 panes.
At the ground floor, No. 34 has a wide plastic garage door and a six-panel door topped with a radial fanlight. No. 36 features a wide opening with central French doors, flanking lights, and transom lights, all set beneath a segmental head. To the right of this opening is a six-panel door under a decorative fanlight, framed by a simple or cut-back pilaster surround with an entablature. The houses also have four gable stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
