Description

No. 14 Elwell Street is a house in a row, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It has a rendered exterior and a slate roof. The building is near-symmetrical, with two storeys and two windows featuring 12-pane sashes set in reveals on deep stone sills. A central 20th-century door is located beneath an arch with a plain fanlight. There is a large brick chimney stack on the left and a smaller one on the right gable. The low-pitched roof has a wide span that extends down to part of the rear, which includes a staircase sash window with 12 panes. The gable on the left is exposed behind No. 16, which is not included in this listing, and features external divided flues. The interior has not been inspected.
