Description

Barn Parc Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and cob, which is rendered and painted, with part of the front featuring rag slate hanging. The roof is made of rag slate and has gable ends. On the left side, there is a projecting brick end stack, while the right side has an end stack that is partly slate hung and rendered. The layout consists of a two-room and cross passage plan, likely with a parlour on the left and a smaller kitchen on the right, both heated by end stacks. In the 20th century, small service rooms were added in a rear outshot.

The exterior is two-storeys high and has an asymmetrical two-window front with 20th-century replacement 12-pane sashes. To the right of the centre is a 19th-century panelled door with a slate porch featuring fluted jambs, an entablature, and roundels in the corners. There are two sashes on the ground floor and two above. Inside, the partition on the right side of the passage has been removed. The parlour on the left features a 19th-century slate chimney-piece with fluted jambs and a lintel adorned with roundels in the corners.
